Easter Activities

While on Spring Break in Utah, we had many opportunities for Easter activities.  We first took our elementary school kids to the Beaver City egg hunt on Thursday.  It was going to be outside, but with all the snow that fell the night before, they had it in the high school instead.  They had an area for different age groups with candy all over the ground.  Each area also had a table set up that the kids got to pick a prize from at the end of the hunt.  Scharlet was excited to see the Easter bunny there and talk to her.  The next day, our kids got to color Easter eggs at Gramps & Grammy's house.  We boiled 36 eggs so they could each color 6.  We almost have them all eaten now.  On Saturday, we went with Grandpa, Aunt Jerry, and Gary's family to Hurricane for the Ballard family Easter picnic.  They had it at a church that had a picnic area and grass.  The kids had a lot of fun running around, playing football and frisbee, playing in the dirt, and playing freeze tag.  There was a lot of visiting and a potluck picnic.  After the food, the older kids and adults hid eggs around the outside of the chuch.  Josh had fun helping with the hiding.  Then by age group, the kids got to go hunt the eggs.  It was a fun day.  On Easter Sunday, the kids woke up to find that the Easter bunny had hidden eggs in Grandpa's living room in Cedar City.  They also found their buckets full of treats and a toy at the kitchen table.  With three different egg hunts, we are set for candy until Halloween!  It was a nice Spring Break and we all enjoyed it.
