Christmas 2009

Yes, it is almost February 2010, but we just uploaded our Christmas pictures to the computer today so I thought I'd share a little about our family's Christmas. We have the usual traditions of decorating the tree and making/decorating cookies. The kids love to help decorate the tree and they each have their own special ornaments to put up as well. We were a little worried about Scharlet with the tree, but she left it alone. It was our dog Cooper that bothered it more. For Christmas Eve, we have many traditions. We sing Christmas songs. The kids draw names and get a small gift for each other which they open on Christmas Eve. The kids also get a new pair of pajamas to wear on Christmas Eve. After the small gifts and pajamas, we watch a video and read from the bible about Christ's birth. The next morning we have the kids stay in bed until we call them. This year it was about 7AM. They then race down the stairs to see what Santa left. It was a great Christmas!
