Last week Tyler had his DARE graduation ceremony at Sheila Tarr Elementary. DARE stands for "Drug Abuse Resistance Education" and is a program aimed at teaching the kids to stay away from drugs, gangs, alcohol, etc. A police officer came to the school and worked with the fifth grade classes to teach the program. They had a nice ceremony with speakers, a song, passing out of the certificates, and treats. They even got to be shown on the channel 3 news waving during the graduation ceremony.
