Family Vacation Day 4

Tuesday, August 3rd
On this day we drove to Cedar and met up with everyone and then we all drove to Bryce Canyon for the day.  We stopped at the visitor's center first.  Then we drove to different pretty points along the way.  We first hiked over to where a hike down into the canyon started.  We took Scharlet in a stroller.  It was interesting pushing it over a lot of rocks.  At the hike, Scharlet and I stayed at the top.  The hike being a bit too much for her we thought.  We waited while all the others in the group hiked down a bit and then back up.  Then we all hiked back to our cars where we had a picnic lunch out of the trunks of our cars.  Next we visited other points of interest and other short hikes.  Then we went back to the visitor's center before returning to Cedar for dinner.  We again invited Aunt Jerry up for dinner.  This time we had barbecue hamburgers, hot dogs, and brauts.  Gary cooked and Robin made homemade root beer.  It was delicious!  We then did more visiting and playing.  Then back to St. George to collapse into our beds exhausted.  It was another great day!
