20 Years!

Last Monday Rod and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary!  Rod's parents stayed with our kids Monday & Tuesday so we could have an overnighter away.  We checked into the Mandalay Bay Hotel that morning.  We stayed in a suite on the 60th floor overlooking the Las Vegas strip.  We went to the pool area where it was set up like a beach complete with sand.  We spent most of the time there floating down the lazy river with tubes.  Rod also tried out the wave pool.  The water was heated and weather great!  After the pool, we went and explored the hotels, shops, etc. at the new City Center.  We saw pillars of ice, water spouts in tubes, lots of pretty flowers, and some interesting sculptures besides the shops and hotels.  That evening we ate at a Brazilian restaurant that brings you the meats, etc to your table and carves it right there.  We had dessert at a build your own yogurt place.  The next day we shopped, ate breakfast, and got home before the kids came home from school.  It was a great anniversary!
